The StoryWalk® is a family-friendly, interactive program for school-aged children.
Mission Early Years Strong Start (School District 75) together with Family Smart and Mission Community Services
A good time was had for all at this Waycea Métis Festival in Aldergrove.
There were lots of family activities including the program’s storey walk.
This StoryWalk® is about a bear who finds a cell phone and has many interesting experiences including forgetting to be a bear.
This story covers Frank’s journey into the virtual world and how he manages to stay safe while using technology.
The story is told on 20 large storyboards that are placed around parks, school playgrounds and halls, trails, and community centres.
You may follow Frank’s trip and learn about his encounters on each storyboard. There are activities for children of various ages that are color-coded.
Are you ready to walk around like a bear and growl? Alternatively, can you name three foods that a Grizzly bear might eat?
Meet Ollie the Owl, Gertrude the Fox, and Sammy the Snake, three of Frank’s companions.
On his way to the berry patch, guess what Frank came across? He discovered a SCREEN!
