I am a proud Métis woman. My indigenous heritage is from the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation/French Mėtis Lac St Anne and St Albert, Alberta on my father’s side and English on my mother’s side. I am known as an elder in my Métis community and with Mėtis Nation B.C.
My passion is connecting with communities while building trusting relationships and self-reflection that helps people to bring balance to their lives.
I facilitate land-based workshops that help raise an awareness of indigenous history, culture and worldviews that help both indigenous and nonindigenous people increase their cultural and self-awareness.
I also facilitate prevention workshops with a focus on the risky behaviors of screentime and gambling. As well, I provide suicide prevention workshops.
As a Métis elder I support communities by sharing my life lessons while supporting people in their life journey.
Below see a brief overview of my presentations and workshops.
